Agencies meet small business contracting goal
For the first time since 2005 agencies met the government-wide goal for percentage of contracts awarded to small businesses. The Small Business Administration said Aug. 1 that agencies provided small businesses with $83 billion in contracts in fiscal 2013 out of $355 billion total. Small firms are embracing mobility
While much of the focus of mobility has been on the enterprise, small businesses are increasingly looking to mobility to improve productivity at a lower cost. Survey: Small businesses snub lenders
A recent survey by Sageworks, a financial information company, found that 3 out of 4 owners in businesses less than 10 years old said they have never applied for a loan (personal or business) for their companies. More at Forbes.
Training staff is the key to success
